Bobby joined The Bravo Hops in 2016, playing drums at the band's July gig at Bar Nine in Manhattan. Over the last 25+ years, he has been a member of numerous NY metro area based bands. A multi-instrumentalist, the drums are Bobby's first love. In his early years, he took lessons from the brother (Ted) of Hops bassist, Al Hemberger. During high school, Bobby worked for Al at the legendary Loft Recording Studios in Bronxville, NY, where he did everything from helping setup recording sessions to feeding the ravenous, sleep-depraved artists. While at the Loft, he met working musicians of all kinds - some enjoying celebrity, and others just getting their careers started. This experience deepened Bobby's love of music -especially live music- that drives him to this day.
